The World Health Organization (WHO) Country Representative for Somalia has encouraged more Somalis to go for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Mamunur Rahman Malik, WHO Country Representative for Somalia, made this plea on Sunday, April 3.
He said that all Somalis should go for the vaccination “now more than ever before.”
In the last two years, Somalia has been one of the worst affected countries with the COVID-19 pandemic stretching its healthcare services immeasurably.
Malik also urged Somalis to continue observing all public health protocols.
He reminded Somalis in the East African nation that COVID-19 remains a real threat to life and livelihood.
