WHO Representative Urges All Somalis to Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

Mamunur Rahman Malik, the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to Somalia, has urged all Somalis in the country to go for the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a message broadcast on September 6, Malik said that the country now has enough vaccines to vaccinate as many people as possible.

Somalia has received hundreds of thousands of vaccines from various international bodies over the last 2-3 months.

“I encourage men and women alike to get vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19,” the WHO Representative to Somalia said on Wednesday.

He advised Somalis to do so when it’s their turn to go for the first or second dose.
