The World Health Organization (WHO) says that more than $123 million is required to avert a looming health crisis in the Horn of Africa region.
The global organization mentioned in its latest report that the region is currently facing one of its worst hunger crises in the last 70 years.
Consequently, tons of funds are necessary to protect more than 37 million people in different countries in the region from acute hunger.
Moreover, the organization stated that more than $123.7 million is needed to meet rising needs in the Horn of Africa countries.
Some of the worst-affected countries in the region include Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
The likes of Djibouti and Eritrea are not spared either.
Furthermore, the health organization also reminded the world that urgent measures are required to avert a health catastrophe that could devastate the region.
