The World Health Organization (WHO) has vowed to support Somalia’s response to health crises.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO Director-General, made this pledge on Tuesday.
The WHO Director-General announced this during his talks with Dr. Ali Haji, Somalia’s federal Minister of Health.
The two met in Cairo, where this year’s Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) is currently taking place.
Their discussions revolved around finding ways of boosting the health system in Somalia.
Further, they also discussed the emergency preparedness capacities of Somalia.
