The wife of a former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia who died on March 10 has succumbed COVID-19.
Rahma Mohamud Ga’al, wife of ex-President Ali Mahdi Mohamed, died of COVID-19 complications on March 26.
Her husband also succumbed to the disease 16 days ago.
Reports indicate that Ga’al died while receiving treatment in Nairobi.
Ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed confirmed Ga’al’s death on Friday afternoon through social media.
