The winner of a photo contest organized by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been announced.
USAID announced Abdirahman Mohamud Ahmed as the winner of the Somali Photo Contest that has been running for the last one month.
Ahmed declared his pleasure at being declared the winner of the contest that attracted interest from young Somalis all over the country.
He said that the award and recognition had motivated him and other young Somali photographers in the country and beyond.
The contest was open to young Somalis.
They had a month to take photos displaying some of Somalia’s biggest attractions and positive experiences away from the clashes and terrorism.
