World Bank Approves $52 Million to Help Somali Women and Girls

The World Bank has approved $52 million to help women and girls in Somalia.

World Bank’s Board of Directors approved the funds as an additional International Development Assistance (IDA) financing for Somali women and children.

The organization’s Board of Directors approved the funding on Tuesday, August 23.

According to the organization, the funds would strengthen ongoing efforts to empower Somali women and girls economically.
