The World Bank predicts that Somalia will enjoy a positive growth in gross domestic product (GDP) this year.
According to the World Bank, this will not be restricted to Somalia alone as it expects Ethiopia to experience the same trend.
The World Bank offered these projections in its latest report for June 2024.
Last year, Somalia had a GDP growth rate of 3.1 percent. This year, the East African nation’s GDP will grow by as much as 3.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s will grow by as much as 7 percent.
Ethiopia’s has dropped by 0.2 percent from last year’s numbers.
