Yemenis Enter Somalia to Flee Fighting in Their Country

Yemenis have entered Somalia to flee from the intense fighting that’s going on in their country.

On Sunday, August 29 close to 200 Yemeni refugees entered the East African nation through Somaliland and Puntland.

Reports from the region indicate that the refugees are likely to stay in Somalia for the next two years.

According to the United Nations, thousands of people have died in the Yemen war with hundreds losing their lives daily.

For more than 10 years, Yemenis have not known any peace, security, or stability in their country, especially after the Arab Spring.

Over the weekend, 177 Yemeni refugees arrived in Puntland’s commercial capital of Bossaso.

Lately, the nation has witnessed unimaginable tension. Recently, around 30 pro-government soldiers were killed at an airbase located in southern Yemen.
