Ten Somali men who have been in prison in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are free and back in Mogadishu.
The Somali men had been jailed for hijacking a UAE ship.
A UAE court found them guilty of committing the offense on April 1, 2011.
According to UAE laws, the 10 would only have been eligible for release after serving a minimum of 25 years.
However, the recent visit to the UAE by Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble changed all that.
The 10 were identified as Abdalla Mohamud Farah, Ali Tahlil Mohamud, Hassan Saeed Hussein, and Guleed Hersi Farah.
Others are Abdulfatah Hussein Mohamed, Ahmed Mohamed Abdullah Dahleya, and Saqaar Mohamed Yusuf.
Abdulhamed Abdullah Mohamed and Mohamud Abdi Ibrahim were in that group too.
