At least 12 people were reportedly injured in renewed fighting pitting Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers and Jubbaland security forces.
The injuries were recorded on the second day of fighting between SNA and Jubbaland forces on January 25.
On Sunday, intense fighting broke out between the federal and regional forces at Bula Hawa town.
During Monday’s clashes, the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) claimed that Kenya had armed the Jubbaland militia to fight its soldiers.
A statement from the FGS condemned the “illegal aggression that Kenya had orchestrated and planned against Somalia.”
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Bula Hawa is only a few kilometers away from the border between Somalia and Kenya.
