The Minister of Education, Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, oversaw the opening of the written exam for teacher candidates, which took place in 45 centers across Somalia.
A total of 13,252 candidates sat for the exam on Saturday.
The Ministry of Education is looking to hire 3,000 qualified teachers for public schools as part of its efforts to strengthen the education system in the country.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving educational opportunities and ensuring that public schools are staffed with capable and dedicated teachers.
