Sixteen Al-Shabaab militants lost their lives when a terror attack they attempted to carry out in Galgadud was foiled.
The terrorists attempted to attack a military base in the Galgadud district of El-Dher on Saturday morning.
According to authorities, the militants launched the attack with explosives.
They then followed this up with gunfire.
However, the Somali National Army (SNA) forces in the military base resisted the attacks valiantly. They killed the terrorists.
It is not clear whether the government side suffered any casualties too.
