The Ministry of Health has confirmed 19 more COVID-19 cases in Somaliland thus bringing the number of people diagnosed with the disease to 89.
Furthermore, Omar Abdullahi, the health minister, confirmed that the number of COVID-19 deaths has now reached eight.
Omar said Somaliland has never reported a number as high as 19 over a 48-hour period since COVID-19 hit the country.
Health authorities have made tremendous efforts to curb the spread of the disease around the country since first reporting it early last month.
