Somalia Advocates for Health Priorities Through WHO Board Position in Geneva

GENEVA — The Minister of Health and Human Services for Somalia, Dr. Ali Haji Adam Abubakar, led a high-level delegation to the opening ceremony of the 158th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board in Geneva, Switzerland.

Somalia is currently serving as one of the 34 nations on the WHO Executive Board, a position that officials state allows the country to influence global health policy and decision-making processes.

Advocating for Vulnerable Systems
