Beijing – Twenty young Somali diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation have successfully completed a cultural and professional exchange program in China.
The program, which featured a blend of academic lectures and immersive field visits, provided the diplomats with first-hand insights into China’s rich history and rapid modernization.
Participants explored the country’s governance, economic development, and cultural heritage.
Described by attendees as an “unforgettable journey,” the exchange helped strengthen mutual understanding and foster people-to-people ties between Somali and Chinese youth.
Both governments emphasized the importance of such initiatives in building long-term diplomatic partnerships and encouraging collaboration among the next generation of leaders.
