Somalia has recorded 23 new cases of COVID-19 from samples tested in the last one week.
The Ministry of Health published the latest statistics on the virulent disease on December 10.
In its latest update, the health ministry indicated that 4,792 samples were tested over the last week.
Puntland had 10 cases followed by Banadir (6), Jubbaland (4), and Somaliland (3).
Two more people succumbed to the disease thus taking the total fatalities to 1,333.
Meanwhile, the East African nation has now recorded 23,074 COVID-19 cases since confirming the first one last year in March.
With 492 people recovering from the disease this week, the number of recoveries now stands at 12,817.
