A three-day workshop on flood contingency in Beledweyne kicked off on Tuesday.
Dr. Ahmed A. Adan, the Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), launched the workshop.
Participants will discuss flood contingency steps in Beledweyne and the entire HirShabelle state.
They will talk about the technical and material solutions needed to prepare for flooding during the monsoon rainy season.
