Three new justices have joined the Supreme Court of Somalia after they were sworn in on December 3, 2020.
Hon. Bashe Y. Ahmed, the President of the Supreme Court, swore the three new justices in.
Additionally, he also swore in 14 judges who are to be deployed in several District Courts around the East African nation.
Chief Justice Ahmed commended the newly appointed justices.
He encouraged them to serve faithfully and professionally after reminding them that they were appointed on merit.
The President of the Supreme Court said that the judges were appointed following a highly competitive process.
