Somali National Army (SNA) troops killed over 30 Al-Shabaab militants in an operation undertaken in Rage Baris on Sunday night.
State media confirmed that the military carried out the operation in the area between Galgadud and Middle Shabelle.
The planned offensive was successful because it involved SNA personnel and Somalia’s international security partners.
In the process, a number of vehicles belonging to the militants were destroyed. These included two trucks and a Toyota pickup.
