5 Civilians Killed in Roadside Explosion Targeting Deynile District Secretary

Five civilians were killed in a roadside explosion at a busy market in Mogadishu on March 29.

Sources revealed that the explosion seemed to target Mahad Sharawe, the secretary of Deynile District.

At the time of the incident, Sharawe was in a vehicle.

Several women selling their wares at the nearby busy market lost their lives in the shocking incident on Monday.

No group has claimed responsibility for the latest deadly incident in the East African nation’s capital.

The explosion occurred at a time when Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), Federal Member States (FMS), and international partners are meeting in the city.

Representatives from the FGS, FMS, and international community are in the city to find solutions for the electoral crisis that has lasted several close to a year.
