Around 6.7 million Somalis are expected to face acute food insecurity between October and December 2022.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) issued a report dated September 13 on the situation in Somalia.
As per the report, millions of Somalis in the East African nation are at risk of acute food security.
Further, the report indicates that the situation is likely to worsen in the last three months of the year.
Many stakeholders have repeatedly warned that Somalis could experience famine before the end of the year.
They owe those projections to the fact that Somalia is likely to experience yet another season of failed rains.
