A 6-year-old boy has emerged victorious in the space art competition held in Somalia.
Kawkib Mahamuud emerged victorious in the competition.
He was at the Chinese Embassy in Mogadishu on Wednesday to receive an award for winning the event.
Kawkib’s drawing joined nine others that made its way to space via the 16-member of the Shenzhou spacecraft.
His drawing attracted many admirers.
These included Nura Mustaf Mukhtar and Fei Shengchao.
Mukhtar is the State Minister of Education while Shengchao is the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia.
