A Mogadishu hospital has celebrated the birth of quadruplets.
Mogadishu’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital marked the birth of quadruplets, which is quite rare in a nation beset by wars over the years.
The quadruplets were born to a Somali woman on Friday morning.
Reports from the hospital state that the birth went smoothly without complications.
The mother, who has been identified as Mariam Mohamed Hassan, is in good health together with her four bundles of joy.
Hassan adds that she traveled more than 120km from Middle Shabelle to give birth to the children.
She had already given birth to twins prior to this rare feat.
