The Federal Government of Somalia, in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has launched the Accelerated Education Activity and Female Teacher Empowerment Programme.
This initiative aims to provide quality education to 67,000 students, primarily in recently liberated areas, addressing the educational needs of children and youth who have been out of school due to conflict and instability.
The program also emphasizes empowering female teachers, fostering gender inclusivity and resilience within the education sector.
By expanding access to education in underserved regions, the project seeks to contribute to long-term stability and development in Somalia.
