The Office of the Attorney General has investigated 40 government officials in the past three months over corruption.
The AG’s office said this in a statement published on Sunday.
Other crimes for which the 40 have been investigated include theft of public property, negligence of responsibility, and abuse of power.
The AG added that 18 of the officers have already been referred to the court.
Twenty-two officers remain under investigation, as per the AG’s statement.
