Ainabo can now boast of a new desalination plant.
Over 3,000 households in the area have access to a plant producing roughly 30 cubic meters of purified water.
The desalination plant is up and running because of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Local residents now can enjoy clean drinking water.
The plant is the product of joint efforts between UNDP and Somaliland’s Ministry of Environment.
A local firm known as Genius Water has the task of maintaining the desalination plant regularly.
