An air-space certificate has been issued in Somalia for the first time in 30 years.
On November 11, the country’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation said that the decision to issue the certificate was “a tremendous milestone” for Somalia.
Durah Farah, the Minister of Transport and Aviation, commended the government for this momentous decision.
According to the minister, the move kickstarts efforts aimed at restructuring and improving Somalia’s aviation industry.
He also mentioned that the country made this decision to help bring its civil aviation sector at par with the international trends and patterns.
