Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the latest suicide bombing attack in Mogadishu.
The militant group released a statement through its media affiliates confirming that its member detonated the bomb-laden vest that rocked the nation’s capital on September 14.
Sources confirmed that a man detonated his suicide vest on Tuesday evening thus causing the deaths of 11 people while injuring countless others.
The attack is the latest by members of the Al-Qaeda-linked group.
Recently, its members have endured relentless military operations by the Somali National Army (SNA) and African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) forces in various parts of the country.
