Al-Shabaab has claimed that a Kenyan national drove one of the vehicles used in the recent attack against African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) forces.
Last week, Al-Shabaab militants attacked an ATMIS base containing a contingent from Burundi.
More than 30 Burundian soldiers lost their lives in the attack, which took place on May 3 at a military base in El-Baraf.
On May 11, Al-Shabaab identified one of the drivers as Jamaal Diba Diida, a Kenyan.
Diida is also known as Zubeyr Al-Muhaajir.
