Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility over the recent capture and beheading of a Kenyan administrator.
The group’s militants abducted and beheaded the chief of a village in northeastern Kenya.
The village is near Kenya’s border with Somalia.
According to reports, Omar Adan Buul, the Chief of Gumarey sub-location in Wajir County, was abducted by suspected Al-Shabaab extremists on Friday last week.
Buul was abducted by militia who raided the area and issued stern warnings to the local residents earlier in the day.
Through Shahada News Agency, Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the shocking murder of the Kenyan administrator.
Shahada News Agency is Al-Shabaab’s mouthpiece.
SITE, a United States group that monitors Al-Shabaab’s activities on the media, confirmed that the Al-Qaeda linked militia claimed its fighters were responsible for abducting and killing Buul.
