Al-Shabaab militants are currently in the custody of Puntland security forces who arrested them during an operation in Bosaso.
According to sources, officers from Puntland Anti-Terrorism Unit (PMPF) carried out an operation in Bosaso city, which led to the arrest of the militants.
A statement that PMPF issued shows that they not only arrested Al-Shabaab but also ISIS members.
The military officers conducted the operation obstentisbly to flush out members of the proscribed group in the area.
Al-Shabaab and ISIS militants are responsible for the assassinations and sporadic attacks carried out in the region often.
The officers are now scheduled to proceed to the mountainous regions of Bari to continue with their operations.
