Al-Shabaab Takes Back Control of Villages SNA Troops Recently Recaptured

Al-Shabaab is back in control of villages that the Somali National Army (SNA) recently liberated.

On October 1, the terrorist group announced that it had retaken the villages that government troops had declared liberated from Al-Shabaab in the past few days.

Some of the villages in question include Yasoman and Aborey.

Others include Moqokori, Tardo, and Elqohle to mention but a few.

In the last few weeks, the federal and regional governments have joined hands with local communities to fight and eradicate Al-Shabaab militants from such regions.

On Saturday, Al-Shabaab announced that it was once again in charge of these areas.

According to a statement the group has published, its militants took back control of these places without much resistance.

Al-Shabaab claims that government troops had vacated the areas.
