One of Al-Shabaab’s bomb experts has been arrested.
Reports from Lower Jubba indicate that Danab Special Forces soldiers nabbed the bomb expert during an operation in the area.
The identity of the operative arrested on September 8 has been revealed as Hassan Abdullahi Abshir, aka Abu Faruq.
According to military sources, he serves as the explosives expert for the terrorist group.
During the operation, the Danab Forces killed two other insurgents.
Arab Dheeg, a Danab Forces commander, confirmed that the special unit killed two terrorists and cleared nearby roads of all the explosives planted by Al-Shabaab militants.
