One of Al-Shabaab’s most senior members has surrendered to the Somali National Army (SNA) troops.
Sources indicate that Mohamed Nur Guudoow,who heads Al-Shabaab’s extortion wing, surrendered himself to SNA soldiers in Baay.
Guudoow surrendered on Thursday, September 9.
While surrendering, Guudoow also took the opportunity to denounce the activities and ideology of the Al-Shabaab militant group.
He has been a member of the terror organization for the last seven years.
