A convoy comprising African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) vehicles came under heavy and sudden attack in Mogadishu on November 18.
The convoy was rocked by a blast from an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on Tuesday.
Sources said that the incident took place in Karan District in the capital city of the Horn of Africa country.
A huge crowd immediately gathered at the scene of crime for a glimpse of the wreckage.
However, they were repulsed by heavy gunfire from the jointly by the AMISOM and Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers.
According to eyewitnesses, several people were injured in the fracas.
