African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) launched a conference on reconciliation and conflict management in Mogadishu.
The three-day conference is for administrators from Galmudug State.
AMISOM’s Political Affairs Unit organized the conference, which is expected to attract participants from Galmudug.
Women and youth representatives have already confirmed their availability for the meeting.
Politicians have also promised to attend the conference to learn how to manage reconciliation efforts and conflict management.
AMISOM’s Political Affairs Unit said that the purpose of the conference is to “encourage reconciliation as a mechanism for peacebuilding.”
