Unknown armed men shot and killed a Somali National Army (SNA) soldier in Beletweyne.
According to sources, the armed men accosted the soldier in Beletweyne on the night of May 6.
They shot the soldier before taking off.
The dead soldier has been identified as Shuute Abdullahi.
Abdullahi had been serving as part of SNA’s 27th Division in the 5th Battalion. He was well-known in the local circles.
Security forces from HirShabelle arrived at the scene of the crime afterward and removed Abdullahi’s dead.
