The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops handed over a forward operating base (FOB) in Jowhar to the Somali military.
ATMIS carried out the handing over on Thursday.
An announcement by ATMIS indicates that the handing over is part of the ongoing drawdown of its forces from the East African nation.
ATMIS has until December 31, 2024 to pull out all its troops from Somalia.
