The Head of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) visited a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in HirShabelle.
Souef Mohamed El-Amine visited the FOB in Adale town on Wednesday.
He assessed ongoing preparations for the drawback ATMIS is expected to carry out by June 30, 2023.
ATMIS will reduce its troops in the East African nation by 2,000 by the end of this month.
