African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) supported Somali National Army (SNA) in liberating various towns in Hiiraan and Galgadud regions.
For the last few days, SNA forces have conducted intense operations in the two regions to eradicate Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Specifically, ATMIS supported the SNA onslaught with air and ground logistics.

ATMIS and SNA commanders planned and coordinated the onslaught jointly.
