The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) plans to elevate Bal’ad Forward Operating Base (FOB) into a Battalion Logistics Base (BLB).
A delegation of senior ATMIS officers traveled to the Bal’ad FOB on Tuesday under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Peter Omola.
Brig. Gen. Omola is the Acting Force Commander.
He leads other senior ATMIS personnel in assessing the needs at the FOB and the requirements for elevating it into a BLB.
