The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) has promised to work closely with security forces in Somalia to prevent terror attacks.
This emerged on November 7 when Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Doodishe held a meeting with senior ATMIS officials at his office.
ATMIS officials paid Dr. Doodishe a courtesy call on Monday.
Dr.Doodishe is the federal Minister of Interior Security.
During the meeting, Dr. Doodshe and the ATMIS delegation discussed the need for strengthening cooperation between ATMIS and security institutions in Somalia.
Specifically, their discussions revolved around prevention of terror attacks in Somalia.
The East African nation has been the target of deadly terror attacks in the last few weeks. Hundreds of people have been killed or injured in the attacks.
The most recent one on October 29 has left over 100 people dead and more than 300 others injured.
