African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) has donated medicine and food to Dhobley General Hospital.
ATMIS Sector II troops visited the hospital on Saturday, July 9 to hand over the medical supplies and food items.
The soldiers were part of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) based in the region.
Colonel Joel Maiyo led his fellow soldiers in handing over the supplies to the hospital’s management.
He said that the food would help to feed patients at the hospital.
Specifically, Col. Maiyo mentioned that the food would be a great help to children admitted to the hospital with cases of severe malnutrition.
Mohamed Yusuf Hassan, the Director of Dhobley General Hospital, received the medical supplies and food items on behalf of the management and patients.
