A delegation from the African Union (AU) has arrived in Mogadishu for a series of talks with Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) officials.
The delegation arrived in the East African nation on January 27.
They are scheduled to engage with senior Somali government officials for the next 12 days.
During their 12-day engagements, the AU team will hold talks on diverse issues.
Top of the agenda could be the ongoing elections in Somalia.
Moreover, the AU delegation could also discuss the mandate of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and all related issues.
The AU team that arrived at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu is from the AU’s Peace Support Operations Division.
