Auditor General Briefs Development Partners on Somalia’s 2017-20 Strategic Plan

Somalia’s Auditor General held a virtual meeting with development partners to brief them about the progress of the country’s 2017-2020 Strategic Plan.

Auditor General Mohamed Mohamud Ali chaired a virtual semi-annual meeting with several of Somalia’s development partners on October 20.

He discussed areas of strategic cooperation with the partners.

During the virtual session, Mohamed updated the partners on the challenges that the country faces and its areas of priorities too.

Further, he talked about the need for extending the Strategic Plan, setting up efficient audit systems, and the Training and Professional Development Program.

Mohamed briefed the partners on the progress of the Audit Bill as well.

Some of the partners that attended the session include European Union, Norway, US Embassy in Somalia, World Bank, INTOSAI Development Initiative, and Turkish Court of Accounts.
