The Deputy Special Envoy of the African Union to Somalia held talks with the country’s Minister of Defense.
AU’s Deputy Special Envoy Fiona Lortan visited Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the defense minister, on Friday.
They discussed wide-ranging issues touching on the AU and Somalia.
First, Lortan and Nur agreed that the AU and Somalia need to boost military cooperation. They also admitted that the AU must support the ongoing operations against terrorists in Somalia.
