Five Yemeni fishermen were killed in Puntland as the local weather worsens with the arrival of Cyclone Gati.
The fishermen were found killed off the coast of Hafun in Puntland.
Their death comes as the region records heavy rains and winds that continue pounding Puntland coastal areas.
Authorities also discovered a boat presumably used by the fishermen. It lay in ruins.
In nearby Hurdiya, the region was flooded with seawater. Consequently, authorities began evacuating the locals to safer grounds.
These incidences arise amid early warning issued regarding the presence and arrival of tropical cyclone, known as Gati, in northern parts of Somalia.
