The clashes taking place in Baled Hawa are reported to be between Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) troops and Jubbaland security forces.
Baled Hawo, which is in the hotly disputed Gedo region, was the scene of intense fighting and shootout on January 24-25.
During the two days of clashes, 11 people lost their lives while around 24 suffered various types of injuries.
Those injured in the clashes were rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
The Jubbaland forces are allied Abdirashid Janan, a Somali fugitive who has reportedly been hiding in Kenya since last year.
Reports from the region indicate that the deadly clashes started when the Janan-allied militia attacked government troops.
A press release from the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism indicates that Janan forces crossed into the country from Kenya on Saturday night.
