Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has commended his predecessor for displaying statesmanship while leading the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) for the last two years.
The new Prime Minister spoke during the handing-over ceremony that took place at the Office of the Prime Minister in Mogadishu.
Mohamed Hussein Roble handed over the office to his successor, Prime Minister Barre.
The new premier praised the statesmanship that ex-Prime Minister Roble displayed and his steadfastness while leading the government.
Barre commended Roble for the leadership he demonstrated to ensure that the transition period also proceeded without any hiccups.
“I cannot thank you enough for all your sacrifices to our nation,” Barre told Roble.
